Detect movement in selected indoor areas while the system is armed in a mode that enables those detectors. We recommend placement around your space and normal activity.
Listen for the sound pattern of breaking glass. Coverage depends on the glass, room layout and placement—not simply the number of windows.
When an alarm signal reaches the monitoring center, trained operators follow the applicable verification and notification procedures for that signal and your account.

Total Connect 2.0 lets you check and control your compatible security system from your phone. Stay informed without being at the property.
Check whether you armed the system after leaving, or receive a notification when a family member disarms it using their assigned code.
Give authorized employees individual alarm codes, review who armed or disarmed the system, and receive configured opening and closing notifications. Update codes as staffing changes.

No. Our First Alert security offering includes professional monitoring. Smartphone control adds convenience and notifications; it does not replace the monitoring service. We explain the monthly rate and agreement terms before you approve service.
